THE DARZI BAR & KITCHEN- A TAILOR MADE EXPERIENCE

Here's another restaurant in Connaught Place, N block but with a different concept than others, the name speakes it all about the place, as it gives a whole tailor made experience of food.

As you climb up the stairs, the first thought is where's the entrance, as they have made it really confusing with the entry from a trail room. Interesting ha!

It is beautifully made on 2 floors where first floor is more like a lounge and the second floor is more of fine dine with a balcony area. There is stage in the right side for live performances, a bar in the middle which is made really well with the buttons made on side and measuring tape on the edge of the counter.

It has really quirky interiors with tailoring equipments like scissors, thread rolls, hangers, sewing machines n lots of tailoring stuff.

The menu here is divided into 2 parts i.e chotta nad thoda bada, which has snacks and main course respectively.
The service is a bit slow, though the food is quite good here.

Coming to the starters I had
CALAMARI, fried squid which was made really well n I loved the taste of it with mint chutney.

Along which I had SANTRA, which is basically their tailor made take on Mojito, which was something new and really refreshing.

KANDHARI PANEER TIKKA, is what I loved the most, cubes of paneer marinated in pomegranate and beetroot juice and cooked really well, the paneer was also soft, Highly recommended.

CHEESY SPINACH MUSHROOM, being a cheese lover, this snack from chota menu is what I ordered and I was pretty satisfied with my choice. The dish was so apt as per its name with a crunchy base and lots of cheese and spinach filled in it, truely an amazing apitizer.

In the main course,

MASTERJI KI DAL , the same common dal makhni served at every restaurant but what makes it unique here is its name in the menu, it was thick n creamy but the salt was little less as per my taste, though it tasted good with the breads.

KOFTA METHI MALAI, was delectable and a bang on dish.

In desserts, I had

GAJRELA MINI PIE WITH WASABI PANJEERI, the pie was amazingly good, the taste of condensed milk n gajar ka halwa was a really good combo but the panjiri was pungent because of wasabi which I didn't like, but pie made it all for me.
