BUTTER CHAAP

Hey, foodies!

I am sorry for not posting for so long, but you know good things take time :D so today I am back with a recipe with the zingy twist that is Butter Chaap.

We all have that one person in our life who is a vegetarian but loves to have butter chicken ki gravy,
" hey, that's chicken, you can't have it"
"to kya hua yr at least I can have the gravy"

And for these gravy lovers, I have this recipe with which they can not only enjoy the gravy but can also relish the taste of chicken in vegetarian form as chaap as well.

Ingredients
250 gms chaap
2 onions
5 tomatoes
2Tbsp ginger garlic paste
salt to taste
1.5Tbsp coriander powder
red chili powder to taste
1Tbsp kasoori methi
3Tbsp curd
1Tbsp turmeric powder(Haldi)
1.5Tbsp Garam masala
8 cashew nuts
2Tbsp vegetable oil
2Tbsp butter
1 Green chilli

Method

Marination
1. Take 3Tbsp curd in a bowl, add 1/2 Tbsp turmeric powder, 1/2Tbsp salt, 1/2Tbsp red chili powder, 1Tbsp ginger garlic paste and mix it really well.

2. Now take chaap, apply some cuts on it carefully and mix it well in the marination to rest it for maximum 1 hour.

3. After the rest of 1 hour, grill the chaap in the griller or you can cook it on a pan as well with some vegetable oil.

Gravy
1. Take 2Tbsp vegetable oil in a pan, when hot, add 2 sliced onions to it and saute them until they turn pink.

2. When onions turn pink add 5 sliced tomatoes, salt to taste, red chili powder to taste, 1/2Tbsp turmeric powder, 1.5Tbsp coriander powder, 1.5Tbsp garam masala to it and cook really well for at least 10 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked properly with the closed lid.

3. When the masala is cooked properly, cool it for some time, then transfer the mixture to the grinder and add 8 cashew nuts to it, you can also add 1 green chili to it if required and grind it into a smooth paste.

4. Take the same pan and add 2Tbsp butter, to which add 1Tbsp ginger garlic paste, saute it well and then add the paste to it, cook it until the oil starts to separate.

5 When the oil starts to separate, add chaap to it and mix mix mix and you are done.

6. Pour it into a bowl and add some cream and kasoori methi on it and serve it with roti or naan.

Be it a Tuesday or Friday, try this recipe and your dinner is sorted.
Happy Eating!!
